Dr. Mariana Silva is a full-time Professor of Pediatrics and a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist.

Dr. Silva is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine and completed her residency training at the University of British Columbia.

She works in the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario where she consults on the broad range of cancers in children. She also consults on pediatric hematology including bleeding disorders.

She teaches medical students and residents on topics in pediatric oncology and hematology. She is an examiner for the Center for the Evaluation of Health Professionals Educated Abroad and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

She is the District 7 Representative for the Ontario Medical Association, a member of the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario Board of Directors, the Camp Trillium Board of Directors, the C17 Board of Directors and the Association of Hemophilia Clinic Directors of Canada.

She is an active researcher with a number of clinical trials in pediatric oncology and hematology.

Dr. Silva enjoys tennis and international travel.
