Pediatric Postgraduate Medical Education

The goals of our postgraduate program are simple: To educate and inform future pediatricians using the best resources available and to prepare our graduates to be able to work anywhere in Canada as a community pediatrician.

Our inpatient services are at Kingston General Hospital and our outpatients are treated from Hotel Dieu. Residents go through different rotations within these inpatient and outpatient facilities. We also collaborate with CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) in Ottawa, and do community rotations in both Barrie and Belleville, giving our residents invaluable scope and experience. While many of our residents go into general/consulting pediatrics, some do go on to sub-specialities.

Following along with our mandate to provide the best postgraduate program in our field, we are committed to working with education consultants to optimize every training opportunity available for our residents.
